Your post, your call.

TruSauce points people to your content and your restaurant — it never hosts your videos. If you’d rather not appear, or we got something wrong about your place, here’s how to fix it.

What we show about a post

When someone shares a public Instagram or YouTube post with TruSauce, the Rec can include:

  • a link back to the original post, and your public @handle or channel name;
  • the post’s caption or title, hashtags, and location tag;
  • a short summary of the post (we transcribe the audio to write it, but don’t show the transcript);
  • a thumbnail, loaded directly from Instagram’s or YouTube’s own servers — we don’t copy or store the image;
  • the restaurant we matched, dishes, prices, and offers mentioned;
  • a TruScore: whether people who followed that recommendation said it delivered. It rates the recommendation, not you or the restaurant, and individual verdicts are never shown.

We never download and keep your video, re-upload it, or play it on TruSauce. Its audio or video is fetched only for the moment it takes to transcribe or read it and is then discarded.

Remove a post from TruSauce

Email hello@trusauce.com from an address we can reply to, with:

  1. the link to the post or video;
  2. that you’re the creator (or authorised to act for them) — a DM from the account itself to @trusauced is the simplest proof.

We delete the Rec and everything derived from it: caption, transcript, summary, dishes, the place match, and every saved copy and verdict. Our rolling backups age out within 14 days, after which no copy remains. We also block the link from being looked up again, if you ask.

Deleting the original post on Instagram or YouTube stops its thumbnail and link from working, but doesn’t by itself remove the text we saved — so do send us the request.

Fix a wrong match

If a post about your restaurant was matched to the wrong place, a different branch, or a closed location, email the post link and the correct Google Maps listing. We correct the match and use the case to improve how matching works.

If you believe content shown on TruSauce infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@trusauce.com identifying the work, the page or link where it appears, your contact details, and a statement that you’re the rights holder or authorised to act for them and that the information is accurate. We act on complete notices promptly, usually by removing the material.
